Program Overview

The course comprises seven core units which address the major knowledge and skill components for this allied health profession, as well as opportunities for mentoring and knowledge application within a series of clinical placements. There is also scope for developing a level of specialisation via the selection of five elective units. For students wishing to make the transition to exercise and sport science from other cognate disciplines, this course makes provision for up to 24 points of conversion units, selected on advice from the course coordinator.

Additional Information & Requirements

A Bachelor of Science with a major in Sport Science and/or Exercise and Health, or equivalent as recognised by UWA; a bachelor's degree in physiotherapy from a recognised tertiary institution; or a relevant bachelor's degree in a related field of study from a recognised tertiary institution that included foundation units in the majority of the following sub-discipline areas: biomechanics, motor control and learning, exercise physiology, sport and exercise psychology, human growth and development and human anatomy, English language competence; Test scores: TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, CAE
