Physiotherapists assess and treat patients with temporary or long-term physical injuries, movement disorders or disabilities, aiming to achieve the highest possible degree of recovery, activity, participation and quality of life. Physiotherapists may work independently or as members of healthcare teams. They are active in the prevention of illness and injury and in the promotion of health. They are also involved in clinical research, movement rehabilitation, ergonomics and the management of healthcare organisations. The course fosters small-group learning to master the practical aspects of physiotherapy practice. You will be given the opportunity to assess and treat patients in hospitals and other clinical settings under the supervision of a qualified clinician.
Bachelor's degree completed within the past five years with a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 65 percent/ relevant work experience, Completed tertiary-level subjects in regional musculoskeletal anatomy (upper and lower limb, pelvis, spine and thorax, head and neck) and neuroanatomy and physiology (including exercise physiology), IELTS (Academic) score of 7.0 with no individual band score less than 7.0, TOEFL iBT of 79 with 13 in Reading, 12 in Listening, 18 in Speaking and 21 in Writing, PTE Academic of 58 with no communicative skill score less than 50, CAE of 176 with no less than 169 in any component, CPE of 169 with no less than 169 in any componentPhysiotherapistRehabilitation assistantPhysiotherapy technicianAthletic therapistResidential care worker / health care aide
