The Master of Public Health at Charles Darwin University develops advanced knowledge and skills to investigate, analyse and respond to population health problems in local, global and planetary contexts. It covers public health practice, Indigenous health, epidemiology, health policy and research methods, with opportunities to specialise through elective study.

Curriculum Structure:

Year 1: Covers core subjects including Public Health, Epidemiology, Indigenous Health, Qualitative Research and Health Policy, alongside specialist electives such as Health Promotion, Global Health, Health Systems, Planning and Evaluation, Public Health Economics and Decision Making, and Biostatistics.

Year 2: As the course is 1.5 years full-time, students complete the remaining specialist electives during the second year. Students selecting the Research Project option complete a 40-credit-point Research Project after the core subjects and specialist electives.
