Master of Public Health and Master of Health Administration (Advanced practice)

The Master of Public Health and Master of Health Administration (Advanced practice) at La Trobe University is a 2.5-year full-time postgraduate double-degree program combining public health with health administration and management. It develops skills in health systems, leadership, policy and project management.

Curriculum Structure:

Year 1: Covers core public health studies including Principles of Public Health, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Health Systems, Public Health Responses, Health Policy, Health Promotion and Health Care Quality.

Year 2: Focuses on health administration and management, including financial management, strategy and operations, systems thinking and leadership, alongside advanced public health study.

Year 3: The final 0.5-year component completes the Advanced Practice specialisation, applying project management approaches to the design, implementation or evaluation of projects addressing real-world health challenges.
