Program Overview

The Master of Surgical Science is designed to provide a professional qualification for those wanting to enhance their research and scientific skills and who are embarking on a career in surgery. In particular, the aim of the program is to offer surgical education and training (SET) trainees and pre-vocational doctors the opportunity to: obtain and extend their professional skills in the academic side of surgery, with an emphasis on research; develop the skills of writing and presenting at meetings; attract funding; and promote scholarly activity.
