Melbourne Law School's health and medical law specialisation is open to lawyers and to doctors and other health professionals and administrators (with no prior legal qualification). Have an advanced and integrated understanding of the complex body of knowledge in the field of health and medical law, including: the theoretical framework surrounding health and medical law, and contemporary ethical and theoretical issues, the law concerning the relationship between doctor and patient as well as that relating to particular procedures; and the provision of concise legal advice to plaintiffs and defendants in medical litigation.
