Year 1

Students build advanced chemistry knowledge through 18 units of core topics, covering areas such as advanced chemistry and research preparation. They also select 18 units of options, allowing study in areas such as nanotechnology, drug action/toxicology, DNA-to-genome science, quantum physics, and standards, ethics and compliance.

Year 2

The second year focuses strongly on advanced research and professional scientific skills. Students study Advanced Research Skills, Advanced Techniques in Chemical and Physical Sciences, and Advanced Chemical and Physical Sciences, followed by a substantial Masters Research Project; students meeting the required GPA of 5 or above can undertake the Coursework with Research Component.
