Program Overview

The Master of Science (Chemistry) is designed for students with a chemistry-rich background. The course builds on a student s existing knowledge with research and professional skills to investigate, analyse and synthesise complex information, problems, concepts and theories in the systematic development of solutions to complex problems. This course provides graduates with not only the practical and theoretical aspects of chemistry, but also an understanding on professional and ethical responsibilities and an awareness of social, economic, cultural and environmental aspects of chemistry in a global community. Projects and coursework have been designed to address topical concerns in industry and society preparing graduates for further enrolment in a research higher degree or employment in chemistry-related fields.
