Year 2

The second year focuses on integrating laboratory medicine knowledge and applying it in professional healthcare settings. Students begin with Integrated Laboratory Medicine, which brings together knowledge from different diagnostic disciplines to investigate complex diseases and interpret pathology results. The final semester includes a 16-week Professional Experience Placement in a NATA-accredited diagnostic pathology laboratory, where students apply their laboratory skills in a real workplace and develop professional experience.
