Program Overview

The Master of Professional Archaeology is a specialist two-year 240-credit point course that prepares you to work in commercial archaeology or progress to a research higher degree. You'll acquire a range of workplace skills in archaeological field techniques, technical analysis, Aboriginal and historical archaeology, heritage management and business skills as well as research skills and practice. You may elect to complete a research thesis. Graduates of the Master of Professional Archaeology may be eligible to apply for registration with Aboriginal Victoria as a Heritage Advisor.
