Program Overview

The response to current biological problems from genome sequencing to the study of biomolecular structures and the analysis of dynamical cellular processes increasingly relies on the complementarity between experimental and theoretical approaches, which allows biological systems to be analysed, modelled, and simulated on computers from the molecular and cellular scales up to entire organisms and even populations. To meet this trend, the programme trains students from a variety of academic backgrounds on computational genomics and proteomics, structural bioinformatics, and modelling of dynamical processes. Graduates of this Master are able to use and design bioinformatics and modelling tools to address all aspects of a biological question, in close collaboration with experimental researchers.

Any holder of a bachelor's degree delivered by a university in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation is entitled to enrol in the corresponding master programme, the candidate must pass the B2 level French language proficiency test , TOEFL and IELTS scores
