Universite Libre De Bruxelles ULB is a private, French-speaking university located in the city of Brussels in Belgium. The university dates back to the year 1834 when the Free University of Brussels was established. The Free University of Brussels was split in 1970 into ULB and Vrije Universiteit Brussel.

Some of the buildings of the university are located in Brussels municipality of Auderghem, and outside of Brussels, in Charleroi at the Aeropole Science Park and Nivelles.
