Program Overview

Through a systematic comparative study of religion as a phenomenon, this Master programme provides participants with academic training in the study of religion using the tools of human sciences. The programme is based on the concepts of free thought and critical analysis. Students learn about the religions of the world and humanism, and have the opportunity to specialise in key disciplines in this field.Classes are held at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Religious and Secular Studies (CIERL), which is home to over 50 academics specialised in religious and secular issues.

Any holder of a bachelor's degree delivered by a university in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation is entitled to enrol in the corresponding master programme, the candidate must pass the B2 level French language proficiency test , TOEFL and IELTS scores
