Program Overview

In the 1950s and 1960s, many members of public sector careers were trained by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean in planning and economic development techniques. Starting in the 1970s, postgraduate courses were created in the Northeast region, many of them with support from the Northeast Development Superintendence and the Bank of Northeast Brazil, aiming to train human resources for the areas management, planning and research.
