The Graduate Program in Development and Environment was conceived from a multidisciplinary work process with a view to enhancing the resources, technical-scientific and academic productions existing at UFPE for an interdisciplinary training at the graduate level , socially committed to the environmental reality that together with the Prodemas of the Federal Universities of Piau , Cear , Rio Grande do Norte, Para ba, Sergipe and the State University of Santa Cruz in Bahia, makes up the Network of Postgraduate Programs in Development and Environment in the Northeast - Prodema Network.
