Program Overview

Implemented in 1976, the Graduate Program in Geography at the Federal University of Pernambuco was the third to be created in its area in the country. That year the installation of the Masters course began and, in 2004, the implementation of the Doctorate. Its initial creation complements the effort that had been developing in Pernambuco since the 1940s in order to characterize the geography of the Northeast Region.
