Program Overview

Post-graduate teaching activities in Geosciences at UFPE began in 1973 with the creation of a Masters course, with two areas of concentration, which was accredited in 1982 by the Federal Council of Education. In 1978, the course started the activities of another concentration area, having been re-accredited in 1992. The PhD course was created in 1993, having received recommendations from CAPES and CNPq. In 1998, both were evaluated by CAPES with a score of 4.
