Program Overview

The Post-Graduate Program in Genetics started its activities with the Masters course in Genetics in March / 1992, with only one area of concentration, being mainly composed of professors from the Department of Genetics of the Center for Biological Sciences Federal University of Pernambuco. The Department of Genetics, in turn, was founded in the same year, having originated from the Genetics Laboratory of the former Department of General Biology.
