Program Overview

The program started at the Masters level, being implemented in 1973 by Prof. Kelmer Solomon. For almost two decades, the course evolved with concepts B and A evaluated by the Federal Council of Education. In 1989, after a visit by Prof. Luiz Ramos (UNIFESP) - accredited by CAPES for the evaluation of Postgraduate courses at the Masters level at UFPE, the Doctorate in Medicine course was created, covering the Masters courses in surgery, in Pediatrics, in Pathological Anatomy and in Tropical Medicine .
