Educational psychology is the study of how individuals learn, including topics such as student outcomes, the academic process, individual differences in learning, gifted learners and various learning disabilities. Through studies of theories, allied empirical research, methods of inquiry and professional practice, the program provides a foundation of knowledge across fundamental areas of educational psychology. Offerings in Educational Psychology emphasize training and research in general guidance and counselling activities. The Education Psychology area (which is most heavily involved in programs for guidance and counselling) represents a broad spectrum of interests.
