The M.Eng. in Mining Engineering (Thesis) is a research-oriented degree that focuses on skills and knowledge of mining engineering through coursework and a research thesis under the supervision of a Faculty member (professor). Specific emphasis is placed on research methods as well as fundamentals; as such, the program is the more suitable option for those whose primary interest is research. Graduates of this degree either pursue a Ph.D. or work in industry. The M.Eng.
