Program Overview

The Linguistics program offered by the School of Languages, Linguistics, Literatures and Cultures supports research in core areas of theoretical linguistics, including syntax, phonology, phonetics and morphology. Students in the graduate program will have the opportunity to participate in one of several academic reading and working groups, including a psycholinguistics lab group, syntactic reading group, a Blackfoot working group, a translation working group and the Cercle Benveniste, a research group that began as an informal club. Graduate students benefit from a low student-to-faculty ratio ensuring personalized attention to each student's goals.
