The Department of French Studies offers graduate students the opportunity to explore innovative teaching techniques and to conduct research in many areas of language and linguistics as well as French-speaking literature. All fields correspond to a very rich background at D.B.Weldon University Library, one of the largest in Canada. French Studies is designed to develop globally in-demand language skills that will prepare you for a professional career or for further study.

Honours B.A. or equivalent with a major or specialization, 78% (B+) average in the last 2 years of study, TOEFL ibT of 86, IELTS of 6 out of 9, MELAB of 80 , CAEL of 60, Western English Language Centre- successful completion of the High-Advanced level, CultureWorks- successful completion of the High-Advanced level, Fanshawe College s ESL Program- graduation from Level 5, Advanced Academic Preparation, with a minimum 80% in all components
