Program Overview

The Univeristy offers MSc and PhD degrees in Epidemiology & Biostatistics. Degrees with a specialization in Biostatistics are offered through a collaborative program with the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Sciences. Students are exposed to a full breadth of policy-relevant methodologies from the fields of epidemiology, biostatistics, health services research, health economics, genetic epidemiology, and program evaluation.The mission of the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics (EB) is to apply, develop, and teach approaches to understanding the distribution and determinants of disease in populations in order to generate knowledge that can be used to improve public health.

A min. average of A- (80% or 10/12) in the last 2 full-time years of education, Strong performance in a recent statistics course, TOEFL ibT of 90-92 overall with no individual score below 20, IELTS of 6 out of 9, MELAB of 85 with at least 80 on each of the sections , CAEL of 60, Western English Language Centre- successful completion of the High-Advanced level, CultureWorks- successful completion of the High-Advanced level, Fanshawe College s ESL Program- graduation from Level 5, Advanced Academic Preparation, with a minimum 80% in all components
