Program Overview

This course-based degree is only available to physicians registered in the Public Health and Preventative Medicine Residency Training program. Community Health Sciences explores the intersection between population, public health, research, and education to promote the study of health and disease. It consists of the following specializations: Biostatistics; Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies (thesis and course based); Epidemiology; Health Economics; Health Services Research; Medical Education; Public Health and Preventative Medicine; and Population Public Health.

Hold an MD or equivalent degree, (GPA) in the final two years of study of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 point system, TOEFL iBT of 86, IELTS of 6.5 with no section less than 6.0 (Academic version), MELAB score of 80, PTE score of 59, Transcripts, Study proposal, Curriculum vitae, 2 Reference letters, Students must be physicians enrolled in the Royal College Residency Training Program in Public Health and Preventative Medicine at the University of Calgary
