Program Overview

Western Law offers the Master of Studies in Law (MSL) for professionals or academics in other disciplines who do not have a degree in Law but who feel that an understanding of law would enhance their current research or profession. The MSL does not prepare one for the practice of law, and is not an entryway into the legal profession. Instead, it is intended to provide an academic footing for those whose prior research interests or professional interests touch upon legal matters.

Four-year Bachelor's or higher degree with a minimum average of B (74%) in the last two years of full-time study, A sample of academic writing, GRE scores, TOEFL ibT of 109 with a minimum score of 25 for writing and speaking skills , IELTS of 8 out of 9, MELAB of atleast 85 on each of the sections and an overall score of at least 91, Western English Language Centre- successful completion of the High-Advanced level, CultureWorks- successful completion of the High-Advanced level, Fanshawe College s ESL Program- graduation from Level 5, Advanced Academic Preparation, with a minimum 80% in all components, MELAB 80 on each section and an overall score of 85
