The goal of the Women s, Gender, and Sexualities Studies graduate program is to create new knowledges, concepts and theories as they relate to diverse gendered and sexual identities and experiences, through the study and application of critical feminist theory, masculinities studies, queer and sexualities studies, and cultural and transnational studies.

Additional Information & Requirements

A four-year honours degree, or equivalent, from a recognized college or university in an academic discipline relevant to the proposed field of study, A cumulative weighted average of at least 70% (U of S grade system equivalent) in the last two years of study (i.e. 60 credit units), 3 letters of recommendation, Official transcripts, A Curriculum Vitae (CV), A short written statement (about 500 words) of interests and goals in Women's, Gender and Sexualities Studies, including specific information on the research area the student intends to explore, rationale on why this area is of interest, and any discussions that may have taken place with any faculty member prior to application, A sample of scholarly work in the form of a substantial essay (at least ten pages in length), TOEFL Scores: Overall scores of 86 with minimum scores of 19 in each area, IELTS scores: Overall score of 6.5 with no score below 6.0 in each area, PTE scores: Overall score of 63 with minimum scores of 59
