MA Theory and History of Art

In accordance with its new regulations,this Master's general objective is to contribute to the development of studies and research in Theory,Art History,Aesthetics and Art studies in general. It seeks to develop competencies for research in these disciplinary fields,through training that includes different methodological,theoretical,historiographic and critical perspectives. It promotes the integration of various disciplines in theoretical reflection aimed at understanding the artistic phenomenon in its historical evolution and its contemporary condition.The graduate of the Master in Theory and History of Art will have high-level knowledge in the disciplinary areas covered by the Program. He will master the problems,approaches and themes of this field of study,with reflective capacity,methodological competences and analytical skills that will allow him to carry out disciplinary and interdisciplinary research,and integrate academic and professional work teams in the areas of Arts,Humanities and the Social Sciences.
