Program Overview

The main objective of this program is to provide its students with the knowledge and tools necessary for them to tackle the tax variable present in all economic events from an interdisciplinary and comprehensive perspective. The curriculum of this Master's Degree comprises compulsory courses that provide the fundamental theory in taxation and elective courses which allow students to specialize in various areas.The main emphasis of the Master in Taxation at the University of Chile is in the integration of the knowledge acquired during the study plan and in the development of skills to be effective in the search for the most efficient tax alternative among the options that the The legal system grants the taxpayer the above,with the main objective of developing tax planning strategies in the domestic and international markets.Upon completion of the program,graduates will be trained to serve as high-level tax advisors,either within organizations or as independent professionals,in matters of compliance and / or tax planning. Likewise,they will be in a position to advise agencies in charge of resolving tax controversies,assume or participate in reform projects or modifications to the tax systems and / or their administration,and carry out teaching and research in the area.
