Program Overview

The Master's Program in Public Health has been taught since 1981 by the School of Public Health (current Institute of Population Health),and is heir to the degree in Public Health. This program,aimed at professionals working in the areas of health and public policy in Chile and Latin America,has been characterized by being the one that most clearly and directly links the University of Chile with the institutions of the health sector. The curriculum is permanently adapted to the new conditions present in society,keeping in tune with epidemiological and demographic trends,the development of health systems in Chile and in the world,and with scientific and technological progress.The academic body of the Program brings together in a balanced way the different disciplines that make up public health,articulating professional performance expertise in institutions in the health sector of professors with research experience,all of which feeds the teaching-learning process of the Program,increasing its relevance.
