The Mission of Family Medicine in agreement with the School of Medicine of the Faculty of Health of the Universidad del Valle has the mission of actively participating in the comprehensive undergraduate training of the student in the area of Health based on the foundations of the specialty in Geriatrics in addition to educating training and training human beings as Geriatric Specialist Doctors with a humanistic vocation and clinical excellence for the comprehensive care of the elderly human being from a holistic biopsychosociocultural and spiritual perspective capable of addressing the main needs and aspirations for health and disease at the individual family and social levels with a complex interrelational systemic vision in the search for wellbeing.
