Masters in Film studies

The core of the study are theoretically and historically oriented subjects that represent the basic concepts of film theory and history with an emphasis on developments in the last few decades. Theoretical knowledge of the field is presented in the broader context of artistic disciplines. The main attention is given to the presentation of film as art, but a substantial part of the study is also focused on the presentation of film as an industry and a socio-political phenomenon with a complex institutional background. A key part of the study is the preparation for the diploma thesis, during which the student acquires advanced methodological procedures and learns to apply them during specific research.
