Program Overview

The study is concluded with the defense of a written diploma thesis and the master's state final exam, which consists of exams in the theory and history of music, musical aesthetics and the methodology of musicology. Students can also enroll in the concurrent Study of Pedagogical Competence and here, by completing the didactics of the field and other practical musical disciplines (choir management, music pedagogy), obtain a teacher's qualification for teaching music education in secondary schools.
