Masters in Theater studies

The study focuses on the theory and history of theater, theater criticism, the creation of theater documentation, the basics of public presentation of theater collections, practical theater dramaturgy or the organization of professional research. Emphasis is placed on the current tendencies of theater production, especially on intermedial aspects of theater, and on the acquisition of analytical thinking. A key part of the study is the preparation for the diploma thesis, during which the student acquires advanced methodological procedures and learns to apply them during specific research. The four semesters of study are suitable for gaining experience and practical habits in the field of theater dramaturgy and theater management: students independently prepare projects as part of public events co-organized by the department (e.g. the Theater Flora festival) and collaborate with other cultural entities in the region.
