Program Overview

The Master's degree program in French Language and Literature and Didactics focuses on developing and deepening the knowledge gained in the already completed bachelor's degree program, and on extending it with other linguistic and literary disciplines that complement and deepen the linguistic and literary competence and historical insight in the field of Romanesque studies. Teaching is basically conducted in French and the core compulsory disciplines are complemented by a number of compulsory optional seminars. The study curriculum of the follow-up Master's degree requires students to have a greater degree of autonomy and self-study ability, which has already been laid down in the bachelor's program, and aims at a higher specialization of the student.
