2 Years On Campus Masters Program

Charles University

Program Overview

Social and cultural ecology is a multidisciplinary field exploring philosophical, social, psychological and cultural assumptions and ways of human existence in the natural and newly formed environment. In particular, social and cultural ecology recognizes and analyzes the interrelationships of human cultures, especially Euro-American, and nature, based on ethical, value and cultural models, enabling the sustainability of human development, quality of life and human society in a relatively stable natural and environmental environment. Social and cultural ecology thus examines the application of the principles of sustainability in a particular culture, civilization, politics and public and social policy.
