The graduate has high-quality practical knowledge of both ordinary English and professional English in literary science and related humanities at C2 level of the European Qualifications Framework. He is able to combine this knowledge with deeper knowledge of literary and cultural theory and history of Anglophone literatures and cultures. The graduate is also prepared to solve difficult general problems of literary and cultural theory (poetics, development of genres, the relation of literature to other arts, especially theater, and to the so-called modern media - film, television, internet; in addition, the issues of tradition, modernism, multiculturalism, hybridity, individual diasporas, as well as literary and cultural history (periodization, canons, context of literary and historical discourses, etc.) in the context of other humanities (philosophy, aesthetics, cultural anthropology, women's studies).
A completed Bachelor s degree , an official transcript of records from your previous university studies, an official translation of the two above into Czech (translation is not required if the original documents were issued in English), a certificate of equivalence from Czech educational authorities which states that your certificate/diploma is recognised in the Czech Republic (called nostrification ), if you completed your previous education abroad, TOEFL ibT of 80, IELTS of 6.5, IB English 6, Melab 77, TOEIC 605
