Program Overview

The Master's study aims to deepen theoretical knowledge, emphasizes the understanding of the laws of language and literary development, focuses on the study of language and literature in diachronic, synchronic and Slavic contexts. In this study, knowledge of the contemporary Polish language and broadly understood language culture is required, as well as the literature and culture of the post-war period, within the framework of comparative literary-historical and linguistic studies. The subject of the study is literary, journalistic and professional texts with a commentary related to applied translation procedures. Courses are devoted to translation, which concretize the acquired theoretical knowledge. Profile lectures include a wide range of linguistic and literary issues, emphasizing theoretical knowledge in a diachronic plan.
