Program Overview

The course is intended primarily for graduates of the bachelor's degree in French philology. It takes place in parallel in the field of linguistics and literary studies, at the same time the knowledge of the practical language, culture and history of French-speaking countries is systematically deepened. In the field of linguistics, emphasis is placed on the lexicological language plan, the analysis of a professional text and the issue of the language policy of francophone countries, in the field of literary studies, students acquire knowledge of older French literature, literature of the 17th and 18th centuries, and contemporary French literature. In addition to basic linguistic subjects, students have the opportunity to attend specialized seminars focused on the historical development and formation of French as a literary language, discourse analysis, stylistics or deepening theoretical knowledge from the history of linguistics.
