The program develops advanced language competences with an emphasis on high-quality command of contemporary Italian, language analysis using the most modern linguistic methodologies, translation of general, creative and professional texts, production of own texts and presentations, work with digital and web technologies, data sets and banks. Furthermore, the program is intended for those interested in contemporary Italian culture, which we understand not only in the sense of artistic activities (literature, film, theater, visual arts), but as a manifestation of Italian thinking and way of life, including values, mentality, social issues, regional specifics, main themes of the last hundred years, such as ideological currents, the church, migration, the creation of consumer life, ways of communication. Well-known Italian phenomena such as gastronomy, fashion, mafia, etc., are analyzed in terms of sociology and cultural anthropology.
