Masters in History

Are you interested in history as a scientific field If so, then study a follow-up master's degree in history at the University of Ostrava, which will provide you with an expanded knowledge of history with an emphasis on understanding modern historical thinking. Unlike a bachelor's degree, you will focus more on specialized disciplines that will certainly interest you (e.g. history of material and spiritual culture, cultural history, economic and social history, history of historical thought). You will understand key historical terms and concepts and understand the historical processes of individual historical epochs. You will deepen your skills in working with historical sources and thus master the historical craft to a sufficient degree. This allows you to learn about the contemporary world in a historical context. For successful graduates, we offer the possibility of continuing their studies in the doctoral degree (Ph.H. Historical Sciences). The study of history is one of the traditional staples at the Faculty of Arts and has an excellent reputation not only in the Czech Republic, but also abroad.
