Masters in media studies in Charles university

In the course of their studies, students gain a comprehensive insight into the theory of social and media communication and the issue of media studies, acquire knowledge of the status, functioning and role of mass media in society, the links between the media and the mutual relations between the media and the political system and other specific social institutions and phenomena. Students learn the procedures of analysis of media communication, interaction with recipients and the role of mass media in shaping public opinion. The study also includes the foundations of media criticism.
