Masters in Bioorganic chemistry and chemical biology

The program is intended for students who are interested in a broader study of chemistry with a focus on compounds with biological activity and potential application in medicine. The main emphasis is placed on acquiring sufficient knowledge about the chemical processes taking place in the organism, about the molecular action of drugs and biologically active substances in cellular systems, and about the processes associated with the development of new drugs. The composition of the subjects is based on compulsory lectures aimed at acquiring interdisciplinary knowledge of chemistry, molecular biology, chemical biology and pharmacology. The basis obtained in this way can be expanded with the help of optional subjects to include theoretical and practical knowledge of organic chemistry or, by an appropriate choice of subjects, theoretical knowledge or practical skills in the field of clinical biochemistry, toxicology and nutraceutical chemistry.
