Masters in Biophysics

2 Years NA Masters Program

University of Ostrava

Program Overview

The follow-up master's degree in the Applied Physics program expands the knowledge acquired in the field of theoretical and experimental physics in previous forms of study. Within this program, you can further specialize in the biophysical field (Biophysics specialization) or profile yourself in the world of nanomaterials (Physics of nanostructures). The Biophysics specialization aims to deepen students' knowledge in the field of experimental methods (primarily optical spectroscopy) and to focus on their applications in the study of photosynthesis and (eco)physiology of plants. Students of this multidisciplinary specialization can further profile themselves more in the field of biology or chemistry as part of optional subjects and have the opportunity to complete internships at cooperating international scientific workplaces
