Program Overview

The Hydrobiology study program includes a wide range of theoretical and practically focused subjects, enabling students to understand the issues of the aquatic environment in a broader context. Current experience indicates that hydrobiology and hydrobiological education is a very progressive field from the point of view of current ecological, climate-hydrological and socio-economic problems with considerable potential for employment of graduates on the labor market. The broad scope and comprehensive approach to the study of hydrobiology is therefore based on the one hand on the professional knowledge and competence of academic staff, on the other hand on the involvement of staff outside the university environment, who significantly enrich the teaching with their experience and provide students with information and knowledge from practice.
