Program Overview

Anthropology and Human Genetics focuses on a comprehensive knowledge of human variability and adaptability in time and space. Students can specialize in three areas during their studies: retrospective, molecular and biomedical anthropology. Retrospective anthropology involves the study of all aspects of past human populations, both evolution, bioarchaeology, ecology, taphonomy, forensic anthropology, and the variability and adaptability of human traits in the past. Graduates are theoretically educated in the fields of physical anthropology, anatomy, human physiology, human ecology, ontogenetic and phylogenetic human development, human genetics and molecular genetics, methodology of scientific work and in specific fields of study.
