Program Overview

The aim of the master's study program Global Development Policy (GLODEP) is to equip students with knowledge of international development and development geography. Key knowledge therefore includes understanding the causes, temporal, and spatial context of global development. The students have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the preconditions and barriers to development in selected key underdeveloped regions (Asia, Africa and Latin America). Practical skills include the acquisition of advanced quantitative (econometric) methods, qualitative research methods as well as specific foresight methods. The key cross-cutting concept that permeates the study program is sustainable development
