Program Overview

The Master in Linguistics is the science of language. You don t learn all the languages in the world, but you learn to understand them. As a Master s degree student of Linguistics at the University of Aarhus, you deal with many different aspects of language and how it is used. You study topics such as the way languages change as dynamic systems over periods of time of longer (e.g. over hundreds or thousands of years) or shorter durations (e.g. over a person s lifetime), applied linguistics, cognition and language, linguistic typology (the unity and diversity of languages), as well as interactional linguistics (the structure of interpersonal interaction).

Additional Information & Requirements

Successful completion of a relevant and recognised university degree equivalent to a Danish Bachelor s degree in level and length,English B level (Danish upper secondary school level), TOEFL ibT of 83, IELTS of 6.5, Cambridge English Advanced (grades A, B and C) or Cambridge English First (grade A) or 180 points as a minimum on the Cambridge English Scale, English B C1 level,The Study-test in Danish as a Foreign Language.
