Program Overview

Research on the Finnish language, or fennistics, is an academic subject that explores the structure, development and variation of the Finnish language, and the use and communication of the language. The courses include Finnish sound and form structure, dialects, family languages, writing different texts and teaching Finnish as a foreign language. The aim of the course is to train multidisciplinary language professionals especially for the needs of Northern Finland.
