Oulu University History
Oulu University is one of Finland's largest universities located in Oulu City. It was established on July 8, 1958. 1919 The association of Oulu College was founded to manage the establishment of a university in the city.

Oulu University is divided into 10 faculties. The Faculty of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine (FBMM) Faculty of Education (FEdu) Faculty of Humanities (FHum) Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering (ITEE) Faculty of Science (FSci) Faculty of Technology (FTech)Oulu Business School (OBS) Oulu Mining School (OMS) Oulu School of Architecture (OSA).
Oulu University Campuses
Linnanmaa's main campus is about 5 kilometers north of downtown Oulu. It includes five faculties: Infotech Oulu, Thule Institute, Giellagas Institute, Martti Ahtisaari Institute, Wireless Communications Center (CWC), Advanced Steel Research Center (CASR), Microscopy and Nanotechnology Center, Botanical Gardens and Museum, Zoological Museum, Geological Museum. The Faculty of Medicine has its own campus area and is fully integrated from the city center, Kontinkangas, Oulu, 2 kilometers southeast of the regional hospital. There are also the Clinical Research Center (CRC), Welltech Oulu and the Medical Library. Kajaani, about 185 kilometers southeast of Oulu, is the third campus area. Architecture department located in the center of Oulu.

1. University of Oulu International Masters Scholarships
The University of Oulu grants tuition fee waivers to international degree students who seek to pursue their master’s degree at Oulu University.
Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines
Applicants are eligible to apply for a University of Oulu IM Scholarship if they meet the following requisites:
The applicant should have obtained their first academic degree, normally a Bachelor’s degree.
The applicant must fulfill the admissions criteria and should liable to pay the tuition fee.
The applicant must not be a citizen or permanent resident of any country of the EU/EEA or Switzerland.
